Leaving hurts so much...
I have been traveling a lot lately, and decided while Im in "travel mode" to visit my daughter as well as my brother and sister (they all live fairly near each other, and I live about 1,000 miles away). I've been visiting with them for 3 weeks, and tomorrow Im leaving to go back home. Leaving my brother & sister is one thing. A bit emotional, but I can handle it, and so can they.
My daughter is a different story. She is not my biological daughter. She is from Guatemala, and I adopted her (specifically I adopted her... she is not my wife's daughter). She is an adult now, and very accomplished, having 2 Masters Degrees, owns her own home, and owns a business. She is a very small woman, 5' around 100lbs (I still think of her as a little girl, but that's just me).
It is SO painful leaving her. I knew when I moved out of state that it was going to be difficult, but I really had no idea it was gonna be THIS difficult, or maybe its just that Im getting older... I don't know. We went out to dinner tonight which was wonderful, but dropping her off home and saying goodbye was horrendous (well, we always say "see you soon", not goodbye). I'm sure it is for her too, but she wont show that for my benefit, since she knows this is a gut-wrench for me.
Anyway, I just needed to vent. Im in an anxiety knot at the moment, so writing this is somehow seems to be a little cathartic. Thanks if you took the time to read it.

Seems like I should know this, but...
I was a member of this forum a LOOOONG time ago, and have just rejoined. For the life of me, I cant figure out how to quote someones post to reply to their post!! None of the links on another persons post seem to put their post in the field of MY post, so they know writing to them, or acknowledging their post. I MUST have done that a gazillion times years ago, and someone DID quote a post I recently put up, but I do not see an active link in another persons post to quote their post. Maybe someone can tell me, or screenshot the place to quote someones post?
Thank you for any help!!
